Eat More and Exercise Less

Let’s face it, we are autonomous and can do whatever we please. But it feels like we’re going against the grain when January 1st comes around and we have a barage of incoming info on how to change bad habits, how to set new goals and how to be a better person.

But why is it that we weren’t that better person in the first place?

Everyday, we bombard ourselves with to-do lists and at this time of the year, New Years’ Resolutions which undoubtedly fall by the wayside by the end of January. We set up great self expectations and then fail. Then follows our inner voice confirmation telling us that it knew that would happen.

The fact is that however good or bad our lifestyles, our body and face will reflect this. The way we look and feel is a reflection of how we treat our body. Allowing ourselves to feel guilty can be overwhelming and trying to change all our bad habits in a short space of time feels too much.

We are overloaded. So what can we do?

If we feel like eating some comfort food or lounging around for a day, then let’s do it! But the following day let’s listen to how we feel, and make a new assessment.

We can live life as we feel we want to by ignoring the lists and rules. We can listen to our bodies and minds. If we’re feeling low, or bloated, or bogged down, look at the cause and make one change.

It’s just a thought, but could we change or adapt only ONE thing each day.

One thing each day.
